Father Hayes' typed account of his meeting of 3 January 1931 in Rome with Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Father Hayes speaks very positively of the experience, noting their discussions about the Irish College in Paris where Father Hayes studied, the situation in Ulster, and the Rector of San Silvestro in Capite where Father Hayes stayed while in Rome. The meeting with Mussolini signing photographs for Father Hayes, Archbishop John Harty of Cashel, and the aforementioned rector. Includes the original damaged copy of page 1 with the bottom right corner missing.
