The final three files in this subseries contain material relating to a cooperation scheme (1986-1989) and include CVs and applications.

Material in this file relates to Pope John Paul II’s visit to Ireland in 1979, including press releases, correspondence, cuttings, minutes and reports. It includes discussions by Conradh na Gaeilge members on whether to boycott the occasion because a papal blessing had been previously given to invade Ireland (Pope Adrian IV, 1155), objections to the mass being in English, and correspondence from Comhaltas Uladh who were unhappy with the position taken by Conradh na Gaeilge.
