Material in this file relates to the Language Freedom Movement (LFM) and consists of correspondence, minutes, reports, photographs and flyers. Founded in 1966, it was a political organisation opposed to some aspects of the state-attempted revival of the Irish language in the Republic of Ireland.

This subseries consists of research notes, correspondence, photographs, newspaper cuttings and other material which related to the history and work of Conradh na Gaeilge in London for Ó Súilleabháin’s book “Conradh na Gaeilge Londain 1894-1917”, published in 1989.

(Ó Súilleabháin spent several years in London in the 1930s and 1940s and was a member of the Ard Choiste of Conradh na Gaeilge in London. His travel permit can be found in G60/24/11/3).
