Materials pertaining to the case filed by 7 residents of the village of Kayabalı (Kermêtê), Ömerli District, Mardin Province, against the Republic of Turkey with the European Commission of Human Rights (application number 39543/98, referred to internally within the Kurdish Litigation Project as Case 233 and assigned to Tim Otty as lead) regarding the alleged destruction of their homes, possessions, and livestock, and the killing of one of the applicants’ sons, by security forces on 14 May 1995.
