Archival history

Dr. E.R.R. Green, then of the University of Manchester, created his transcripts of the Nicholl letters based upon copies he received from R.A. Bonner of Irvinestown, the first cousin once removed of R.J. Nicholl, on 13 December 1963. Green was also sent photocopies of the letters from S.C. McMenamin, Deputy Keeper of the Records, PRONI, on 7 March 1966. He later shared his transcripts and documentation with his collaborator, Kerby A. Miller.
