Copy of letter 'not to be published in the papers' from D. Harrel, Under Secretary, Dublin Castle, to T.W. Moffett, President, informing him that the Lord Chancellor's decision was that the termination of his appointment should be withdrawn. An inquiry was to be drawn up as to what regulations should govern the retirement of presidents and professors of the Queen's Colleges on account of age. Includes a copy of a 'Return to the order of the House of Lords, dated 11th February 1895' relating to QCG and the Irish Prisons Board, which includes copies of correspondence between the Irish Government and T.W. Moffett, relating to the Order in Council of 1890.
