This file consists of newsletters and ephemera relating to the Wood Quay case.
Newsletters relating to “Operation Sitric”, during which the Wood Quay site was occupied from 1st June 1979 for 20 days: "Wood Quay Occupation News" 9th and 12th of June, and "Wood Quay News" June 1979; 4 page A4 flyer produced by Friends of Medieval Dublin (FOMD) "Wood Quay ?"; Dublin Corporation Schools Newsletter, featuring imagined new museum for Dublin on cover, Nov/Dec 1978 [teachers refused to share this with pupils, in protest]; newsletter "City Views" published in association with the Living City group, July 1979; flyers in style of old Irish money, "Wood Quay...Some official treasures" with quotes from Pierce Wyse, Minister of State, Noel Carroll, PRO Dublin Corporation, Seán Haughey, Assistant City Manager, Joseph Raftery, Director National Museum of Ireland and Prof MJ O'Kelly, University College Cork which were all negative about value of campaign and authenticity and expertise of campaigners (see archivist's note); poster for Festive Night, Christ Church organised by FOMD, in aid of Wood Quay Fighting Fund, 20/10/19[78]; flyer with lyrics to song "Ye Olde Wode Quay" composed by P Healy for the FOMD "Fighting Fund", 19[78?]; copies of poster for public meeting at Mansion House and Viking March, 09/1978; brochure produced by [Dublin Corporation?] "Your Dublin - things to do" n.d.; flyers for FOMD public meeting and rally, March 197[9]; flyer issued by Save Wood Quay Election Committee, for June 1979 elections urging voters to vote for supporters of the Save Wood Quay Campaign, and canvass against others based on voting record and statements made, as listed on flyer for electoral area 10 (includes Trinity College Dublin, Stephen's Green Dublin, Merrion Square and Donnybrook); two copies of the Legal Diary listing the sittings of cases in the Supreme Court and High Court for 17 and 25 January 1978, including "Martin v Dublin Corporation & ors".

[Archivist's Note: according to the book "Viking Dublin Exposed", edited by John Bradley, the drawing for the notes was created by Nicholas Robinson during a break in Supreme Court proceedings].
