Notes by Father Hayes describing the restaurant operated by the women's section of the Muintir na Tíre Tipperary Guild. The restaurant was opened c. 1943 as part of the guild's Hot Meals Scheme to provide meals to starving residents during the Second World War in premises formerly belonging to the Catholic Young Men's Society. Approximately 80 women were active in the operation of the restaurant.
