Handwritten memorandum, typed transcript of memorandum (author not named) and notes by [Éamonn Downey]. Memorandum outlines a meeting of the writer with [Glenn], discussing interests common to Catholics and Protestants in the North. [Glenn] and 'ordinary Protestants' would not mind seeing Britain go, cannot see a return to the one-party Stormont of previous times. Discussing also nationalisation of parts of industry, the Feakle talks, the constitution of the southern State, the Convention. - Notes [by Downey] are partly based on a discussion with Brendan Duddy: reckoning the meeting was between a Republican representative, and one from the Ulster Workers' Council or of the United Ulster Unionist Council [possibly 'Pony Man' and Glenn Barr]. Downey offers corroboration from historical sources, and from an entry of 11 September in Brendan Duddy's diary of 1975.
