Scope and content

Photocopies of typescript memoranda (1 and 3 pp) by [Brendan Duddy] for [Sinn Féin]; both offering analysis of current situation, and advice on despatch of a statement for the British. Second item expresses belief that Albert Reynolds is deceived in trusting the British will to move; the Adams-Hume dialogue poses a threat to the British; advising on a message pledging commitment to the 10 May offer - British excuses will be exposed as weak before the international witnesses now aware of the contacts. (With a caption by [Éamonn Downey], offering dates when Adams and Hume issued statements (24 April, 25 September, 20 November 1993). Items were entitled 'adhu'.)
