Mrs Maureen Smyth, the last descendant of the Wilson Lynch and Redington families, died on 16 May 2000. In September 2000 Mrs Claire Davies [executor of Mrs Smyth's will] lent to the Archives of the James Hardiman Library, NUI Galway, a folder of items relating to the Wilson Lynch and Redington families. These items were photocopied and returned to Mrs Davies. Mrs Davies also gave the Redington Family Bible to the Library.
