The Matthew Brooks letters are a set of 17 letters written between 1849 and 1878 containing emigrant correspondence. Eight letters are from Matthew Brooks in Philadelphia to James and Margaret Clark in Urney, Co. Tyrone and to his sister Rebecca Clark. Also present are five letters to Rebecca from Arthur Livermure, Consulate of the United States, Derry, regarding payments from the division of estates in America including that of Matthew Brooks, and letters from other American acquaintances and/or relatives written to Rebecca.
