Bruce D. Boling's biographic notes on Margaret McGuinness Elliott and land valuation notes for properties in County Monaghan pertaining to the McGuinness family; correspondence between Kerby A. Miller and Elliott's niece Alice L. McGuinness; and photocopied reproductions of the Alice Martin Connolly letters provided by Alice L. McGuinness. Per Kerby A. Miller: 'Most of the letters which are copied in full were written by [Alice McGuinness's] mother, Alice Martin Connolly. She was born about 1835 in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. Her father, Thomas Martin, was the landscape gardener at the Lough Fea estate of Lord Shirley (descended from the Earl of Essex), near Carrickmacross.'
