Correspondence between Eoin Mac Neill and Stiophán Bairéad. Eoin Mac Neill was born in County Antrim in 1867, was graduated from the RUI in 1888, before becoming a Junior Clerk in the Accountant General's Office, the Four Courts. In the Gaelic League he was heavily involved in editing the League's newspapers, bringing the young Padraig Pearse into "An Claideamh Soluis". He became Vice-President of the League in 1903, and in 1909 was appointed Chair of Irish History at UCD.
