Contains atmospherics on radio and R.T. and atmosphere on boat (surveying equipment receiver); (30/5/74) Pleuteus II underway and chatter (French); under way with wash; sailor sharpening knife; under way and slow down and tow rev and start winch; winch paying out and stop several times (operating oceanographic camera) ship rev and chatter; lower camera again; dredging and bring up grab. Contains underway with wash - 5hp outboard with chatter then engine cut; come ashore on small island; Brian and dog "Sproggy" search island; atmosphere on island, footsteps in bushes and birds; In boat, start engine, tick over and away; boat approach island 18 - crew land and search for duck, no engine; searching; common gull, colony, good, long; Brian Stronach and dog on colony; common gulls short but ok; the crew are Brian Stonach, Tom and Frank. Recorded at 7.5 ips in mono.
