Included are descriptions of Ard Tóin le Gaoth, Loch Ard Doire, Loch an Ghadaí (where a sheep thief hid out), and a note from the Field Name Books Small Names Index. Seán Ned Ó'Conghaile of Gleann Trasna, M. Lynch of Bunscanniff, and Mrs. Kelly of Ashleann House are credited as being some of the local sources of information.

Included are descriptions of Owenglen Falls, (the site of Daniel O'Connell's meeting in 1843, and home to a lodge which featured in 'The Quiet Man'). Ardbear Lake, Cuan Airdbéara (where some members of the Coney family resided), Creighton's Hill, Ardbear Bay oyster beds, Tobberbeggan Holy Well, Ardbear Monastery, an Orphanage, Clifden Monastery, Owenglin River, Dooneen (Dúinín), The Salt Lake, Clifden Community School, Ardbear House (once a hotel, and later a secondary school run by the Franciscans), Rockglen House, South Hill, Mallmore House (gives an overview of the colourful pasts of some of Meall Mór's residents), and Rushnacarra Lodge.

Included are descriptions of a megalithic tomb, earthworks, rock carvings, Derrywaking Lough, Mass Rock, the estate of P J Kendall, Ardagh House and Lodge, Ardagh Oyster Fishery, and Loch na Fiacaile. Paul Mohr who discovered the rock carvings, Professor Noel Wilkins' book, and the Connery brothers of Becaunín are all credited with providing information.

Correspondence between Michael Moore, Archaeologist within the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, later changing to Dúchas, and Tim Robinson. The first letter encloses a photocopy of the identification lists in the Recorded Monuments Register for the Burren (RMR), and explains the background of the RMR as arising from the 1994 National Monuments Act. Copy reply from Robinson encloses a list of the megalithic tombs and other monuments that he wishes to add to his revised Burren map, with a list of queries for Moore.
