She states that Sir Anthony has a care for Ireland, but that it would be better for them to approach him directly. She ends by commenting that Dr. Windle would not be a friend to Irish once a university was founded.

Unless some more definite policy than that hitherto pursued can be struck out for the attainment of Home Rule, it is not likely that I shall continue much longer to keep on a half-hearted organisation."
