Letter from Sinéad de Valera, to Síghle Bairéad, thanking her for the account which she sent. She says that she has to attend to so many things that the important things can be lost. She comments that the spirit of the Gael is amazing, and that there is more people speaking Irish in Dublin now than ever before [in Irish].

Letter from M Leo O Beirns, Convent of St. John of God, Kilkenny, to Shighle Bairéad, stating that she is sixty years in the convent, and has lost all recollection of her previous life. She states that she joined the McHale Branch of Connradh na Gaelige with her father. She remembers that Mrs De Valera was their teacher, and remembers her father's friends attending class. She remembers a lecture by Fr. Yorke on the revival of Irish firing the enthusiasm of these young people. She says that she can remember little else and regrets that she could not be of more help.

MS letter from M. McD. Fleming, County Engineer, Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, to John McGahern.

"Letter from M Ó Flathartaigh, Rúnaí an Uachtaráin, Baile Átha Cliath 8, to An tUasal Donnchadh Ó Súilleabháin, Stiúrthóir, Conradh na Gaeilge, thanking him for his invitation to President and Mrs DeValera to attend a memorial for Stiopháin Bairéad. ""Ba mhór acu araon saothar an Bhairéadaigh mar Chisteoir ar an gConradh agus ba mhaith leo dá réir dá mbeidís saor le bheith i láthair"". They regret being unable to attend [in Irish]."

"Letter from M V Ronan PP, Salthill Hotel, Monkstown, County Dublin, stating that he has no momentos from his early League days. He comments on the attitude of Archbishop Walsh to the language movement, as he was his secretary between 1904 and 1906. He outlines his own involvement with the movement from his time as a student in Rome, commenting that Archbishop Walsh was anxious to get in touch with the movement. The Archbishop had learned some Irish in Maynooth, but he could not take part in the Gaelic League. He helped establish Coláiste Laighean, and encouraged his priests to identify with the language movement. ""In fact, I may add that without the cooperation of the local clergy the branches would not have been a success, that is definite""."

"Letter from Macdara Ó Liodáin, Rusin ná Manach, Carna to Ciarán Bairéad, stating that they have two ""póta gloomac"", wondering if he will send them on by CIE [in Irish]."

Letter from Maighread Nic Piaras, Linden Convalescent Home, Blackrock, County Dublin, to Síghle Bairéad, stating that her father was very friendly with Stiophán Bairéad. He viewed Stiophán as a pioneer of the language, saying that her father had asked her brother to be Síghle's godfather.

Letter from Seán O Caomhiánaigh, Governor of Mountjoy Prison, Dublin, to Síghle Bairéad, 67 Whitehall Road, Terenure, stating that he has searched the records. He gives the dates of his father's detention under the Defence of the Realm Act, and the subsequent acquittal.

Letter from Maigréad M Nic Phiarais, to Síghle Bairéad, saying that she is sorry for her trouble with her sister, but that she will not help her get a better position in the Civil Service, as she (Síghle) would lose her job if it was found out.
