              Manuscript letter from Earl of Longford to Mary Rynne, dated 11 Oct 1938, responding to the Irish Times and Irish Press reviews of Rynne's play Pilgrims, which Longford and his wife had seen in the Abbey the night before. Longford expresses his admiration of the play in that it strives to "strike out a new line in Irish drama." Letter written on Longford Productions stationery, envelope included.
