He asks him if he could measure the figures, and tell him if they cut into the stone or in relief.

"Letter from Liam Ó Briain, 6 Wilton Place, Biá Cliath, to Síghle Bairéad, saying that he knew her father through his work on the Business Committee from 1915 to 1928. He recounts a story about the return of prisoners in 1917 after the Easter Rising, including among their number Colm O Gaora from Rosmuc. The prisoners were in the National Aid building off Exchequer St., and her father came in and demanded from Colm where the money was that he owed. This shows his sense of humour in dark situations. He states that it was her father who instigated the custom of the ""buidéal an Oireachtas"" [in Irish]."
