Letter from Máire Sweeney, 51 Beacon St., Boston, Mass. To Ciarán Bairéad, thanking him for the information relating to the bathing of horses in the Kinvara-Clarinbridge district. She, like him, does not agree with Westropp's view that it was a throwback to a pagan festival, but that it seemed to happen on a particular Sunday. She recounts a visit she made to Dubhros when she met the Fahy brothers.

Letter from [ ] Suibhne, Teampall Bríde, Cill Dara, to Ciarán Bairéad, thanking him for his letters and work and enclosing a cheque for £30. He asks him for his impressions of Rome, commenting that there must not be a city in the world like it [in Irish].

Unsigned letter to Boyle discussing such issues as the Donnelly et al case at Strasbourg, commenting on case details, calling the applicants "prisoners of the NICRA", suggesting Sean McBride may be consulted on the case, also mentions other cases such as the Kearns trial. Also comments on army and police violence in Northern Ireland: "The army is basically still intimidating people and beating them up . . ." and discusses other such matters on violence in Northern Ireland. Letter from [ ], Faculty of Law, Queen's University, Belfast, congratulating Boyle on his success at Strasbourg and also checking if Boyle can still act as stated previously, "When I had seen you on your brief visit to Belfast recently."

Letter from [ ], Manager of the Tuam Branch of the National Bank Ltd., stating that the bank is willing to accede to his request for a loan of £1380.

Letter from A Adermo, Printinghouse, Wellington Quay, Dublin to John Hogan, Gaelic League Office, 24 Upper O'Connell St., Dublin, asking for some payments towards the accounts for the Gaelic League and the Gaelic Journal.

Letter from A T Lucas, National Museum of Ireland, Kildare St., Dublin 2, to Síghle Bairéad, stating that he has no information gathered by Ciarán [Bairéad] in relation to the colouration of the Fuchia. He states that he does not know what colours the flowers would have been in years past [in Irish].
