He asks him to record Joe Mháirtín, as the previous transcripts have been mislaid. He emphasises the importance of Inis Iathar, particularly as there are close links between it and north Clare. He thanks him for his work with Leo in Rinn a' Mhaoil, and comments that he has finished Seanchas ón Oileán Tiar. He asks him what advice he could give him about their proposals for Tuam.

He gives details of his planned trip into Galway, and hopes to meet him if he is on the mainland. He comments that the important thing is that he plans his work with Leo."
