              Ring binder with A4 pages of manuscript notes, vocabulary, learning notes, and writings about the Irish language by Paddy McMenamin. Includes notes on words, tenses, phrases in the Irish language, poetry in Irish, as well as writings by McMenamin, such as a short essay entitled "The Gaelic Tongue". Also includes a certificate of "Feis Cheis Fada" (Long Kesh Feis), Christmas 1975, awarded to McMenamin.

              File of correspondence between Tim Robinson and Liam Mac an Iomaire, and Micheál Ó Conghaile regarding an Irish language translation of 'Mapping South Connemara'. (20 Feb 1986-26 Feb 1987).

              Two Irish language letters from Liam Mac an Iomaire enclosing scripts of 'Mapáil Chonamara Theas', which later became 'Conamara Theas - Áit agus Ainm'. Copies of two letters of reply from Robinson with some proof reading suggestions (19 Feb - 30 May 1992).

              A typed copy of the Irish language translation, with some handwritten edits throughout the manuscript.

              Correspondence between Tim Robinson and Liam Mac an Iomaire discussing the translation of the entire Connacht Tribune series (articles 1-58) to Irish. The bilingual publication is entitled 'Camchuairt Chonamara Theas' / 'A Twisty Journey: Mapping South Connemara', and was published in 2002.

              Drafts of the manuscript exchanged between Robinson and Mac an Iomaire, and third party correspondence in Irish between Mac an Iomaire and the publisher, Pádraig Ó Snodaigh at Coiscéim in which Mac an Iomaire outlines that the book will be dual language.

              Correspondence between Robinson and Justin May who is doing some map work for the publication. A copy of Robinson's letter encloses the section of the map he wishes to use, with guidelines on scale, font, shading. (20 Nov 2001). A printed email response from May in which he updates on his progress, and mentions the unavailability of cow gum (28 Jan 2002).
