As for her husband, she states that he was not involved with Connradh at the start, and would have no recollections relating to it. She ends by wishing her luck, and feels that her work will help the cause of the language [in Irish].

"Newspaper clipping of letter in the ""Irish Press"" from Maighread M Nic Phairais, questioning Síghle Baireád's assertion that Padraic Pearse was not the owner of St. Enda's."

"Letter from P Brady, Kilmore, Carrick-on-Shannon, County Roscommon, stating that he thought they were related to the Barretts of Ballina, wool merchants. He tells her that her father went to Scabbagh school. He says that he got a blow to his leg, either from sliding in front of or from a kick from an ass. He says that there was no Irish in the school, and that Archdeacon Connellan learned his Irish from Fr. Hynes, later President of the UCG. Tells her that the occupants of her grandparents lands were the O'Beirnes, and refers to a Fr. Cudgel O Beirne, ""Called cudgel because he used to use one in the faction fights at the Fair of Dangan"". He says that it is her duty to inform the County about her father, and that if they were aware of his achievements that they would commemorate him. "

Letter from Fionán Ó Lionshigh. 44 South Hill, Dartry, Dublin 6, to Síghle Bairéad, stating that he knew her father well. He gives her the names of three people who might be able to help her [in Irish].

Letter from Seamus Mac Coughine, The Cottage, Cullenswood House, Oakley Road, Ranelagh, to Síghle Bairéad, stating that he is getting really to leave his house and that this is the reason for his late reply. He states that he knew her father. He tells her of a long conversation he had with him, when he told him that he had to sell his house at 56 Blessington St., to pay liabilities incurred by him as a guarantor of St. Enda's.

Letter from Arthur Cox, Milltown Park, Dublin 6, to Síghle Bairéad, saying that he cannot help her too much as his father never spoke about his friends. He states that he will look through his father's papers, and that his father was a great friend of Stephen Bairéad.

"Letter from Arthur Cox to Síghle Bairéad, thanking her for the photograph of his grandfather Hugh. He comments that if he comes across information on her father he will let her know. ""The Psalmist says that man is like grass - the mowing comes, and there is no trace of him""."

"Letter from S Ó Rugadhámh, 9 Nuinsin, Áth Cliath 14, to Síle Bairéad, apologising for his delay in writing to her. He states that he knew her father well, ""ba dúthrachtach an Gael agus an Gaeilgeoir é"". He says that her parents were the first to raise their children as Gaelic speakers. He states that her father was a diligent Catholic also [in Irish]."

Letter from M Leo O Beirns, Convent of St. John of God, Kilkenny, to Shighle Bairéad, stating that she is sixty years in the convent, and has lost all recollection of her previous life. She states that she joined the McHale Branch of Connradh na Gaelige with her father. She remembers that Mrs De Valera was their teacher, and remembers her father's friends attending class. She remembers a lecture by Fr. Yorke on the revival of Irish firing the enthusiasm of these young people. She says that she can remember little else and regrets that she could not be of more help.
