Handwritten letter to O'Shaughnessy from J S Molony writing from St Louis (addressed to Mick). 27 Feb 1897. Personal letter, giving update on Bill's(??) San Francisco property, saying the author intends to return to some branch of Engineering, and would be willing to visit O'Shaughnessy in Shasta. He indicates he may be recovering from an illness, and gives bad news about the eldest daughter of Joe Donovan who has recently died. Concludes by saying "the $10,000 damage done by the cyclone is repaired now".

Begins "I know that every minute of your time is taken up with the blessed babies". Notes they are preparing their house for rent. The real estate market is proving dull, so they are sticking with teaching for a while. Says she is trying to coax Jack to visit California, and wonders if [Maisie] will let her know Mick's availability.

Was disappointed to miss O'Shaughnessy who is in Shasta, but talks about the time he spent with O'Shaughnessy's wife (Maime?) and "lovely children. Margaret and Mary have especially captivated me". Talks about his plans for the coming days, and his wish to visit O'Shaughnessy in Mill Valley.

Names on the back of the photograph identify all but one of the men: Billy Moloy, Tom Fottrell, M M O'Shaughnessy, John Spottiswood Snr (Mary's father), Smith the Real Estate agent, and John Welsh.

The first is after a large Earthquake, and is a response to a letter from O'Shaughnessy enquiring that everyone was alright. The 2nd letter expresses disappointment and not having been able to arrange to meet each other.

File of photographs taken roughly in the 1960s, featuring two of the O'Shaughnessy daughters, most likely on a holiday in Europe. Many of the photographs show them in ecclesiastical grounds, on University campuses, and standing in front of significant buildings. Most photographs are in black and white, but some photographs are colour. An individual, full length portrait style photograph of O'Shaughnessy's widow. Two mounted individual portrait photographs, head and shoulders, one of an unidentified woman (c. early 20th century), and one of a man wearing a moustache, J H is written on the back. (Bernadette may be able to identify them). (These are images 20 and 21). Many of the photographs are individual portraits of the daughters as adults with their dogs, standing at home, or in front of gardens. Photograph 32 is a candid photograph of O'Shaughnessy addressing a crowd outside, a group of men and possible some children are sitting outside on a hill listening to him, A date on the back of the photograph indicates the film was developed in 26 Sep 1926. Bernadette will be a big help with these photographs. A photograph of a fox, likely to have been taken in Muir Woods, no date.

These include photographs of them on holidays in Europe, with friends who are in the clergy, and of houses. (They would be engaging material to speak with Bernadette about). Mostly black and white, some are in colour. Of these, image 77 is an older photograph of M M O'Shaughnessy standing in front of a bandstand, taken in Florence.
