Copy letter to O'Shaughnessy from A S Baldwin (25 Aug 1913) complimenting him on his editorial in the Journal of Commerce in favour of the bond election, the influence it has exerted on his own position on the matter, but notes his opposition to municipal ownership of street railroads.

The piece is divided into chapters, but also the entries are dated, reflecting that O'Shaughnessy began writing his memoir in 1894, but took frequent breaks from it, and worked on it at various times over the subsequent 30 years. It covers his childhood in Loughill, Co. Limerick, his University education,
