Correspondence also include comments by Friel on elements of stage design of his plays by Vaněk, including for Molly Sweeney and for Dancing at Lughnasa.

File also includes separate single typed letter signed by theatre director Peter Hall sent to Joe Vaněk, stating he admired Vaněk's design work on Friel's plays and hopes to meet with Vaněk soon.
