              Tim Robinson's handwritten notes on J M Synge's time in Aran. Notes taken from a reading of Robert Skelton's 'J M Synge and his World'. Notes on Synge's usage of marriage themes, the Celtic Twilight, on his notebook, the subjects not covered by Synge in his work, and on Synge as a man island. Some examples of Robinson's immediately recognisable doodles framing some pages.

              Tim Robinson's other writing work, dating from the mid 1960s when he occasionally wrote under the name Timothy Drever. This includes manuscript and publication material relating to the production of two books of essays - 'My Time in Space' and 'Tales and Imaginings', as well as translations of his work into French and German, some unpublished material, and book reviews that he wrote for other works.

              Included in this file is fax and written correspondence between Tim Robinson and Christopher Cahill, the editor in chief of the Journal of the American Irish Historical Society - 'The Recorder' (see notes field for transcriptions of 2 badly faded faxes). Also included are rights agreements from this publisher, and from a Japanese publisher, and a newspaper cutting from the London Review of Books.
