The file begins with a copy of a letter from Robinson seeking Max's advice on the type of stone on areas of the Aran Islands, and the correct terminology to use in describing the formations. Holy wells and triangular rock pools are also described for clarification. The area described in the correspondence is the Garomna, which is the subject of the chapter 'Subduction'. 11pp.
