Scope and content
Six letters written in connection with the deal of Adeline Ormsby, daughter of Adam Ormsby of the 5th Dragoon Guards. They also relate to George Ormsby coming into possession of the Cummin Papers which had belonged to her. Two letters are written by Adam Ormsby, Sackville Street Club, Dublin to Charles Graham, the Bishop of Plymouth and George Ormsby. Three are from the Bishop and one from Bickle and Wilcocks, Plymouth, solicitors to the Bishop. They refer to the Bishop's acquaintance with Elizabeth and Adeline Ormsby, that Elizabeth died about April 1889 and Adeline on 5 April 1907, that the sisters had run a private school for the children of officers of the Marines for a time and that they were both buried in the Roman Catholic portion of the cemetery.
