-Letter asking Canon Hayes to visit him, as 'the stand taken by [Muintir] na Tíre on the Parish Plan and – negatively – on the proposed Faculty of Agriculture at [University College Cork] is perturbing me a little. It seems to me M. na Tíre should be on the side of local autonomous control rather than centralised state control in the method of agricultural education' (16 September 1954, 1p);
