Letter to Lady Clanmorris, Oldhall, Buxton, Derbyshire, England, from her nephew Denis Charles Bingham, Bingham Castle, County Mayo. He complains that his uncle [Denis Bingham of Bingham Castle], who did not put his name down for King's Inns two years previously, who has involved him in a lawsuit with Mr Bodkin and who has been opening his correspondence. He asks her advice as he is sure she possesses 'a heart which feels for all persons destitute of parents' and asks her to address her letter to The Grove, Tuam [County Galway]. In a postscript he writes of having spoken to 'Uncle Denis', who has agreed to give him the 'interest of my share'. He also cautions Robert, Anna and Maria to be careful as to their intentions regarding Ballykinlettragh [parish of Kilfian, County Mayo].
