Scope and content
Letter from William Donelan, 19 Blessington Street, Dublin, to his father. He states that he is nearly finished classes and that he will be sitting exams while they are at the Fair in Tuam. Discusses getting the diploma or certificate in Midwifery. He hopes to visit Woodquay after the examinations. He states that Maudesley is well in London and gives him details of the different social events he has attended. He describes his visit to the Theatre Ball as "a regular flare-up", and he went dressed as a guerrilla chieftain. "The best character was the ghost of King Billy, who followed the Lord Mayor all night and tormented him gloriously".
