Letter from Thomas Mooney, Secretary of the Local Government Board, to John Wilson Lynch, enclosing a copy of a letter from the Local Government Board to the Clerk of the Fort Union, relating to the charge of neglect brought against John Hazell, rate collector, by John Wilson Lynch. They state that there is over £7 due from the lands, which were in the possession of John Dermody, until his eviction in 1888. and that the collector has been guilty of gross neglect in failing to gather the money. They ask that J Hazell lodge the money with the Union immediately, if not the Board of Guardians must seek his resignation.
