Letter from the Chief Secretary to the Government, NWP and Oudh, Lucknow, to Surgeon Major Freyer, Mirzapur, acknowledging his letter of 5th Mar and copies of correspondence between him and the Inspector General of Civil Hospitals. The Lieutenant Governor considers 'that it was unnecessary to refer this matter to Govt' and that Surgeon Col Pilcher was quite justified in expressing his opinion. Government orders are that he will be posted to Benares on the retirement of Dr Cameron. If Dr Cameron does not retire by 1 Apr he will go to Moradabad.
