Unsigned letter to Father Hayes from a writer in Pomeroy, County Tyrone. The writer notes that while the locals had hopes of getting Muintir na Tíre off the ground on a plot of land there to help feed the poor of Belfast, one man offered to take the entire contract and so has spoiled the prospect. He writes that 'we may have to confine ourselves to a potatoe[sic] scheme alone' and 'I don't know whether anything can be done to get our work finished in time, but I'll let you know what happens.'
