Letter to Father Hayes from John Redmond, National Film Institute of Ireland, expressing pleasure at his willingness to cooperate with the Institute and agreeing that 'a talk is the best way to clear up any possible misunderstandings.' Redmond states that: the Institute is 'entirely sympathetic with and actively interested in the promotion of the aims of Muintir na Tíre organisation as at present constituted'; 'cooperation of the Film Society of Muintir na Tíre with the National Film Institute could in no sense be considered as attempt at "control"', and 'it is no part of the Institute's policy to dominate any group of individual. One of the main functions of the Institute is to coordinate Independent Film Associations, with the aim of furthering their activities.' He invites Muintir na Tíre to coordinate their Film Society with the Institute and elect a representative to its council.
