Letter from Máire Ní Gabhann and Miceal Treinfir (Michael Traynor) Runaidhthe (General Secretary), Sinn Féin, 3 Lr. Abbey Street, Dublin, addressed to An Rúnaí, Gach Cumann (The Secretary, Each Branch). The letter asks that a statement should be read out after every Mass 'in your area' on 16 December 1956. The statement is included in the letter, it announces the commencement of The Border Campaign; proclaiming that 'Irish men have again risen in armed revolt against British aggression in Ireland.'
