Copy letter from Boyle to Palley, University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom, thanking her for the copy of her book on the State of Emergency in Northern Ireland, and detailing her own work including Emergency Powers Act Annotations on Current Law, future publications on Northern Ireland with Hadden and Hillyard, a new book by BBC journalist Peter Taylor entitled "Beating the Terrorists: Interrogation at Castlereagh, Gough and Omagh", also detailing Boyle's involvement in a case where a Republican Club demonstration was prosecuted and how "like 50/60 similar type demonstrations....involving Loyalist groups, none of which had led to police prosecution" and Boyle's plans to subpoena certain police officers to investigate this. Boyle also encloses papers regarding the case of Farrell Vs United Kingdom. Finally, Boyle finishes the letter by explaining the groups responsible for the murder of Lord Mountbatten ("The I.R.A Provisionals proper. . .") and in the killing of Airey Neave (the I.N.L.A.)
