Morgan discusses in detail that "We (BBC) fudged the Northern Ireland torture story. . .we never got near the dimension of the subject that I badgered you about during our interview, namely that beating continued, and indeed escalated during the whole period of the case going through Strasbourg." Morgen adds she tried to make Paddy McClean the central character of the story where he all the questions on torture, beatings and interrogation that Strasbourg didn't answer. "That got swept away by various producers."
