Letter from J G Pilcher, Office of Inspector General of Civil Hospitals, NWP and Oudh, Lucknow, to Surgeon Major Freyer, c/o Messrs Grindlay and Co, Parliament St, London SW, stating that he had laid both Freyer's letters of 18th [Nov] before the Lieutenant Governor. He has been granted leave but the Lieutenant Governor regrets the 'improper spirit' in which he has accepted his decision regarding the Rampur fees and is mistaken in thinking that he had been promised a first class civil surgeoncy. He must await his turn and then his claims will be considered.
