Letter to Father Hayes from John Leydon, secretary, Department of Supplies in response to Father Hayes' letter asking for a supplementary motor spirit licence for an unnamed convent in line with new motor spirit ration restrictions for clergy (see P134/12/1/1/4/116). Leydon regrets that the present acute shortage prevents the department from granting any further allowance.
