Scope and content
First three pages of a letter from a woman in Ballinacurra, Limerick, asking for assistance as her family is solely dependent upon her husband's brother for income in the amount of £1 per week, if anything at all. She asks Canon Hayes if he can get 'Eric' placed in 'any job in any part of Ireland' and suggests the Tuam beet factory, where she heard that there are 300 staff being taken on, or a new biscuit factory in Limerick. She notes that 'I don't let anyone know my position.' The last page of the letter is missing.
