Letter from A.W. Hazell, thanking him for £2. He encloses a paper giving a report of the recent meeting in Kinvara, as a result of which the Duras drive took place. Almost every house in Duras was represented at the drive but 'Aughinish took no part'. William Connor has been bound over [to keep the peace] for 12 months. He thinks that Cormican 'is afraid to keep on the demesne' as he has not turned up at the Athenry fair, where he usually signs the agreement. In a postscript he writes 'The King's death at this time is a very serious calamity'.
