Letter from A T Lucas, Árd-Mhúsaem na hÉireann, Sráid Chill Dara, Baile Átha Cliath 2, to Ciarán Bairéad, Beechmount House, Turloughmore, County Galway, commenting that he must have just missed him when he brought in the sundial. He comments that the information on the maker, James Mannin, is very interesting. He wonders if more could be found out on how he acquired the knowledge necessary for making the dial. He says that he would not be interested in getting the powder flasks. He also encloses a questionnaire on furze, saying that he hoped to build up a picture of the plant.
