Scope and content
Text of a lecture given by Father Hayes at the Grand Central Cinema, Limerick, 19 December 1926. The first page contains a partially-damaged clipping from the Limerick Leader newspaper that contains the text of the first portion of the lecture, with the rest of the text on 2 handwritten pages. In the lecture, Father Hayes talks about the persecution of the Catholic Church in France since the 1905 passing of the law on the separation of church and state, and about what he sees as a recent revival in French Catholicism that will lead to 'the end of the rule of the anti-cleric in France.'
