Text by Father Hayes referring to an issue of the Catholic Herald in which a writer notes the exodus from the towns of England to the country and the dangers of loss of faith as a result. Father Hayes states that, although in England and the United States 'the power-house of Faith finds its place in the cities', in Ireland 'the power-house lies amongst the people of the land' and that any attempt at national reconstruction on Christian lines special attention will have to be paid to the countryside.
