Text of a lecture on Muintir na Tíre given by an unidentified person who warns that Ireland is 'on the road to a socialistic state which can quite easily lead to a worse road contrary to all the principles that should guide a Christian nation.' The lecturer remarks how Tipperary was the birthplace of Muintir na Tíre, stating 'I often wonder is there something in Tipperary life that gives the spirit of a community... ...I wonder was all this the inspiration of Father Hayes in Muintir na Tíre.' The lecturer envisions 'every parish having its community Guild and Council... ...I can see Parliament taking its right place and not interfering in every aspect of life destroying self-reliance, interest and true social security.' Includes annotated corrections.
