Lecture written by Canon Hayes on Muintir na Tíre and its accomplishments. Canon Hayes stresses how the movement took 'the Pope's teaching from pulpit to desk and put them into action in parochial life' while emphasising that the movement 'has no special membership for all the people of the parish are recognised as being in the Parish Guild.' He notes that 'there are now over 400 guilds of Muintir na Tíre' and describes some of their accomplishments as well as the Parish Plan for Agriculture. In the final paragraph, he writes that 'All the sacrifices of the past will be in vain if we do not build on a Christian social order'.
