Materials pertaining to a letter sent from John [also referred to as Shawn throughout] Callaghan in Ireland to his daughter, Nora, in Buffalo, New York in 1918 discussing his sons, also Irish emigrants to America, fighting in World War I. The series includes: Kerby A. Miller's research notes; a typed transcript of the donor letter sent to Miller and a photocopy of the original; Miller's typed transcript of the Callaghan letter; and a photocopy of the original.
